The art of the snub

There are a lot of problems with this new part time role. So much so that I am back to semi-regular posting. One of the major problems was the recruitment process - it seemed unbalanced that while I had to present my best and most professional side to the firm to get hired, they presented their deceiptful, incompetenet, disorganised and inexperienced side to me (don't ask me why I then stupidly accepted their belated offer).

The main culprit was one of the jumped-up snotty blondes in HR who'd been in the job a minute and was waaaay younger than me but has managed to snub me in subtle ways ever since I started (and thanks for not passing my bank details onto payroll so I was paid a week late, bitch).

Then last Friday I receive an appointment request for an 'informal chat' with above-mentioned anal-retention poster girl to talk about 'how you are getting on' and 'your feedback on the recruitment process'.

So cruel. I have so much to say, and could say it so well but what's the use when the person I want to complain about is the person who is getting my feedback? I can't picture gummyblonde taking down notes about her inefficiency and duly handing them onto her team manager.

I did the only thing I could to honestly express my opinion of the recruitment process- I emailed Buffy-the-Competence-Slayer 15 minutes before the 'informal chat' to say I was too busy (on the internet but whatever) and could we make it for another time.

I hope she bumps into me when I'm on my way out shopping at the appointed hour.

LOL this reminds me of that episode of the Office where Dwight, being interviewed by Andy for admission into Cornell, starts "reviewing the interviewer."
